16-year-old becomes Bundesliga’s youngest ever player

Youssoufa Moukoko aging 16 years becomes the youngest ever player to play a professional match in Germany. The Cameroon-born German broke the record of former Dortmund player Nuri Sahin who made his debut aged 16 years, 11 months, and one day for Dortmund against Wolfsburg in August 2006. New Bundesliga rules allow players to play from the day they turn 16. Moukoko could also become the Champions League’s youngest player on November 24 if he faces Club Bruges. That record is currently held by Celestine Babayaro.
