World’s biggest census drive to count population begins in china
On Sunday, china begins its drive to count the population which is measured every 10 years. About 7 million census takers began their door to door survey for the seventh census to measure the population of the country. As per the reports, the census collects relevant data such as name, ID number, marital status, education, and profession of the Chinese citizens.
The census helps to understand the population size, structure distribution, and gives a clear picture of the aging population. In the last survey, china recorded the highest population in the world, 1.37 billion. The implementation of decades of the one-child policy has led china towards a demographic crisis with a rapidly aging population.
