Delhi Shraddha Walkar Murder Case: Bumble to be ‘available’ to the Indian police
The dating app Bumble has said it will be “accessible” to Indian law enforcement agencies investigating a series of murders in the country.
Shraddha Walkar, 27, was allegedly murdered by her live-in partner in May, but her death was only revealed this week.
Police said Walkar and her partner, Aftab Poonawala, met on Bumble in 2019.
They are accused of arresting and framing Mr. Poonawala.
Police said Poonawala strangled Walkar, dismembered his body, and dumped it in a forest near his home in the capital Delhi. He is in police custody and has not said anything.

News agency ANI, citing sources, said the Delhi Police had written to Bumble asking for details about the identity of Mr. Poonawala and other women he had met online.
A Bumble spokesperson did not respond to questions from the HBW News asking whether the Delhi Police had contacted Bumble or how the dating application intended to cooperate when asked about members’ profile details.
“We will continue to follow closely and be available to law enforcement if they request our assistance. The safety and well-being of our users is our number one priority,” he said. Crime”.
