Kenyan Olympic gold medalist Kipruto charged with having sex with a minor
Conseslus Kirupto A Kenyan middle-distance runner who competes in the 3000-meter steeplechase and won the Gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2017 and 2019 world championship has been booked for having sex with a 15-year-old girl. Under the Kenyan law, Kipruto was charged with “defilement”, which is sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 18. Kipruto is now out on bail after he pleaded not guilty. If convicted of a crime Kipruto will face 20 years of imprisonment.
Kirupto also won the World youth and world Junior title of 2012 in the steeplechase. He also tested positive for coronavirus in 2020
