Chelsea defender Thiago Silva suggests the club needs to implement new plans rather than signing new players

Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, has pleaded with the club’s owners to “stop” with the “indecision” and implement a new plan after they were eliminated from the “Champions League” by league leader Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Due to Rodrygo’s two goals on the night, the “Premier League” team was defeated 2-0 by Madrid at Stamford Bridge to complete a 4-0 aggregate loss.

With this outcome, Chelsea will finish their inaugural season as a member of the “Todd Boehly-led Clearlake Capital consortium” without an award.

The owners have already fired managers Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter this year, and Silva claimed that the inconsistency has contributed to Chelsea’s difficulties.

Silva told reporters, “I think the first step has been made—a wrong one, but it has been made.” If we don’t accept responsibility, we can’t criticise the managers. The club is going through a challenging time right now with lots of uncertainty.

“The squad has some amazing players, which is a plus, but on the flip side, there will always be players that are dissatisfied.” Because not everyone can play, there will always be someone who is upset. It’s difficult when the manager has a squad of 30 or more players and can only choose 11.

“Some can’t make the group; we acquired eight in January, and we have to stop and put a plan in place, or we risk repeating the same blunders next season,” the coach said.

After losing their fourth straight game under interim coach Frank Lampard, the Brazilian international asked his Chelsea colleagues to assume greater responsibility.

“There has been too much discussion about replacing managers.” I believe that as players, we too have a responsibility to bear.

“This season, we’ve had three managers and Bruno as a fourth, but we didn’t succeed.” We failed to win today and lost thanks to Lampard. Everyone is focusing on the management, but we need to examine what went wrong and make changes.
