Beijing reports over 47% drop in new HIV/AIDS cases between Jan and Oct

China’s capital Beijing has reported a drop of over 47% in new cases of HIV/AIDS reported between January and October in 2020 as compared to a similar period last year, Health authorities said. The total number of cases reported from January to October is 1,408 a recorded drop of 47%. According to the Beijing Municipal health commission, Beijing has reported 34,289 HIV/AIDS cases from 1985 to October 2020. Sexual transmission is the main chain of transmission for AIDS, it accounts for 93% of cases.
