DaniLeigh was charged with assaulting her partner, DaBaby
According to police in the United States, DaBaby’s partner DaniLeigh has been charged with two charges of abusing him.
DaBaby’s actual name is Jonathan Kirk, and DaniLeigh’s real name is Danielle Curiel, who are parents to a baby girl. He said he had been abused by his girlfriend, and police in North Carolina say they were called on Sunday evening and Monday.
DaniLeigh was then charged with simple assault on two occasions. On Sunday evening, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a domestic violence call, according to a statement.
“Upon arrival, the victim Jonathan Kirk stated that his girlfriend, Danielle Curiel had assaulted him.”
DaBaby addressed the issue in an Instagram video uploaded Monday, telling his fans not to let nobody tamper with your character.
“The only reason the world knows I have kids is that I truly cherish and appreciate them; I am that type of father on and off the internet,” the rapper adds in the video.
The officers first advised DaBaby to pursue charges on his own, but he phoned them back the next morning.
They said they obtained further information that led to the charge of two counts of simple assault against DaniLeigh. She is a choreographer, singer, songwriter, rapper, and dancer. After collaborating in the music video for Prince’s single, Breakfast Can Wait, she had a career breakthrough.
DaBaby broke into the limelight in 2019 after releasing a series of mixtapes. Kirk, his second studio album, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
DaniLeigh claimed DaBaby had broken up with her early in her pregnancy but then got me back like a dummy in a series of Instagram stories since the police were contacted.
She most recently tweeted a photo from an aeroplane, stating that she is finally safe with her kid.
