The recently released film “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning” Part One, starring Tom Cruise, has achieved a box office collection of ₹9 crore on its third day in India. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the spy action movie is gradually approaching the ₹50 crore milestone. Alongside Tom Cruise, the film features a talented cast, including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Vanessa Kirby. It follows the adventures of Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, and his IMF team as they strive to defeat a mysterious and formidable artificial intelligence entity called The Entity.
According to a report from Sacnilk.com, the film earned ₹9 crore net on Friday across all languages in India based on early estimates. So far, it has accumulated ₹30.30 crore in India. The film had a successful opening day, garnering ₹12.3 crore nett, followed by ₹9 crore on the second day.
Variety had previously anticipated that the movie would generate approximately $85 million to $95 million in North America and $160 million internationally within its initial five days of release. Mission: Impossible: Fallout holds the current record with $61 million, followed by Mission: Impossible II from 2000 with $57.8 million.
Tom Cruise’s latest film encountered numerous challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic during its multi-year production. Filming had to be halted on at least five occasions because of the pandemic, with both Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie contracting the disease.
