One such individual is model-activist Pratiksha Tarasing Chavan. Pratiksha is a Maharashtra-born model and social activist who has evolved into a powerhouse of talents and a multifaceted individual. She is a high-achieving model and well-regarded social activist on a mission to convince the world about her worth.
Pratiksha Tarasing Chavan was born in a Maharashtrian family in Solapur, India. She completed her schooling at JVM School, Solapur. Further, she completed her graduation from SVERI’s College of Engineering, Pandharpur followed by post-graduation in Mechanical Design Engineering from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune. Since her childhood, Pratiksha saw her parents as her pillars of support and inspiration. Pratiksha Chavan is currently employed at Infosys as Senior Systems Engineer. However, her identity goes beyond that.
Pratiksha’s formal modelling career started in 2019. In that year, Pratiksha Chavan started participating in ramp walk events. She became a part of Pune’s Next Top Model Season 2 and was ultimately placed in the top 10. She started 2022 by winning the title of Miss Pune Social Media Queen and competed in the Best Personality of Maharashtra. She even went up to be crowned Miss Maharashtra. She was also shortlisted as one of the finalists of Miss Indian Icon 2022 and, eventually, was crowned as the title winner.
Adding to her list of modelling accomplishments, Pratiksha Chavan took part in Tanish India Beauty Icon competition and bagged Tanish India Miss Confident Beauty Icon 2022 award. Furthermore, she has been crowned the title winner of Miss Tanish India Beauty Icon 2022. She has also been shortlisted for Miss International 2023, Jeeo King & Queen.
Pratiksha Tarasing Chavan is more than just a model. She is also a well-recognised social activist. She is the award winner of the Yodha Chakra Award and Global Achievers Award 2022. She is currently the President of Maharashtra OBC Yuva Aagadi. She is the Secretary of Apulki Foundation – a non-profit organisation founded by Rajeshri Tarasing Chavan. Also, Pratiksha is the brand ambassador of Incredible Prince and Princess organised by Maharashtra Kids Talent.
Pratiksha’s dream is to win Miss Universe and inspire thousands of women in the course of action. She believes in the motto: ‘Every challenge will move you one step closer to your dreams.’ She is an ardent advocate of women’s empowerment and is also keen on establishing her own business. She also believes in equal human rights for all individuals. She looks forward to providing the underprivileged with good healthcare and proper education in the future.
