The leading actor of “John Wick,” Mr. Keanu Reeves, pays tribute to Lance Reddick
At the “John Wick: Chapter 4” premiere on Monday night, Keanu Reeves wore a picture of his late co-star Lance Reddick on the lapel of his jacket.
During a press conference, Reeves, the star of the popular series, shared his thoughts about Reddick, who passed away unexpectedly last week at the age of 60 from natural causes.
According to Reeves, “he was a wonderful and very special person with grace and dignity.” “I’m simply incredibly honoured and grateful that I got to know him and work with him.”
The fourth film in the series, which opens in theatres on Friday, stars Reddick, who plays “Continental Hotel concierge Charon” in the movie.
In memory of Reddick, his co-stars decided to wear blue ribbons to the launch.
The actor was recognized over the weekend by friends and coworkers in TV and film as well as the gaming industry. He was best known for his roles on “The Wire,” “Fringe,” and other shows.
In Bungie’s video games “Destiny” and “Destiny 2,” Reddick provided the voice of Commander Zavala.
Shortly after the death of Lance Reddick, the director of “John Wick: Chapter Four,” Chad Stahelski, and actor Keanu Reeves released a statement in which they expressed their “deep sorrow and heartbreak” over his loss. They say, “He was an absolute professional, and it’s a pleasure to work with him.” We send our condolences and prayers to his wife, Stephanie, their kids, relatives, and friends. To his loving memory, we dedicate the movie. “We will sincerely miss him.”
