According to a statement from Jio, “real 5G will now be available on iPhone 12 and higher, and iPhone users must upgrade to the current software to use the service.”

On Thursday, Jio said that “iPhone 12 and above will gain JioTrue5G support starting today.”

All iPhone 12 and later Jio users will receive an unlimited 5G data welcome offer, according to Jio.

Owners of the following iPhone models can start using Jio’s 5 services right away: iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13, Pro Max, iPhone SE 2022 (3rd generation), iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple began releasing an update to its beta software platforms in the first week of November, enabling 5G connectivity for its iPhone handsets in India. On November 11, Apple announced that the iOS 16 beta software programme has begun to be distributed.

The business advised consumers to update their device software to iOS 16.2 or later, activate 5G from the “Settings” menu, and then activate 5G standalone, according to the statement.

Apple just published the iOS 16.2 update, allowing iPhone customers in India to use Jio and Bharti Airtel’s 5G services.

Both Airtel and Reliance Jio introduced their fifth-generation mobile system (5G) services last month, but many Indian users were unable to utilise 5G on compatible handsets, including iPhones.
